Our Story…

4November 2021 saw us embark on a new adventure! We aptly named our new home as Dunmovin Estate, as we are done moving!

Dunmovin Estate is an 80 acre farm and did have a boutique style winery set to the Southern end of the property.

There was a lot of hard work ahead of us. During the first 12 months we meticulously hand pruned the entire vineyard, repaired all the irrigation and wires, slashing and pruning our way through till we got it just right. We have found that even though it’s not as hard after our 3rd year we still hand prune the vines to obtain the exact style of pruning and fruit and vine structure that we are looking for. Since then, we have developed a detailed program, including pruning, spraying, vineyard maintenance, harvesting and the overall healthy structure of the entire vineyard.

Our vines were established between 1999 – 2001 and over the years have tapped into the natural water table and hence why we use the dry farming approach.

2023 saw us handpick 6 tonnes for our first harvest, we thoroughly enjoyed picking the fruit but as the years progress and the volumes increase we are looking forward to the challenge. However, we are focusing on quality rather than quantity! A good wine requires the best grapes!

2024 has seen us bottling our 2023 and 2024 wine vintages.

In 2025 we were absolutely delighted to be awarded several awards including a GOLD for our 2024 Viognier, Silver for Merlot 2024, and 2 bronze medals, as well as two SHOW TROPHY awards. Towards the end of 2025 having reached our goal of winning GOLD, we have decided to concentrate our time on other aspects of our business and as a result we have made the difficult decision to remove our vineyard. The workload involved was extraordinary for a 16 acre vineyard.
